Remember - your group needs to analyze the play for your theme topic and find evidence (including lots of direct quotations!) from each act of the play. Your group will then present to the class on Monday, July 15th (in the afternoon). Your presentation should be based in either a PowerPoint presentation, a Prezi, a website (see me for help in choosing a platform) or some other teacher-approved digital format. All presentations will be uploaded to this site when complete. |
Detailed Instructions for the Hamlet Presentations:
Follow these steps to prepare for your presentation:
1. Gather information connected to your group's theme from all acts of the play. This includes evidence, examples and quotations.
2. Identify and discuss the characters involved or those connected to your topic. Which characters help develop this theme in the play?
3. Develop a thesis about your theme topic. What have you learned about this issue from the play? What is Shakespeare saying about it?
4. Organize your ideas to support your thesis effectively.
5. Include approximately TEN quotations from the text in your support. Reference each quotation with Act, Scene and Line numbers.
6. Carefully choose and implement appropriate images that effectively help to convey your theme and thesis.
7. Locate and read a scholarly journal that is written about your theme topic and Hamlet. Write a summary paragraph of the article and a paragraph commenting on the effectiveness of the article. See the file below for further details.
8. Choose an appropriate digital platform to present your information (a website, a PowerPoint or Prezi, for example). Each group needs to upload or link their presentation to a post in the Hamlet Presentations page.
